EXPERIENCE

• The Principal Investigator in five projects funded by NASA Exobiology and NSF Planetary Astronomy programs and one cooperative agreement with NASA Ames Center for the total amount of $700K (1993-2000).
• Observed nine comets on various telescopes including Keck and IRTF.
• Worked as a team member on instruments design for two spacecraft missions.
• Authored and co-authored more than 30 publications in leading scientific journals (Astrophysical Journal, Nature, Science and others) and chapters in books. Also served as a reviewer for various scientific journals.
• Made a large number of contributed and invited presentations at various scientific conferences, seminars and meetings.
• Served as an external and panel reviewer for four NASA programms (1994- present).
• Participated in numerous collaborative projects with American and European scientists.
• Teaching: Reduction and Analysis of Space Experiment Data (1991, Moscow, SRI), Physics 2A for science majors (1995, UCSD), Physics and Chemistry of Solar System (1996, UCSD).
• Ph. D. thesis advisor for two graduate students (1993-1999). Supervised six undergraduate students (1988-2000).
